JOSHUA DAVY is a storyteller and filmmaker based between Sydney and Hong Kong.

Originally from Hong Kong, Joshua developed his passion in filmmaking through acting at a young age in commercials and on stage. After high school, he pursued a BFA in Film & TV Production at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, where he was able to garner several awards and nominations, from the Tony Hawkins Award to NYU Tisch 48 Film Festival.

Over the past 5 years, Joshua has developed a career in filmmaking at a variety of renown companies, including Scott Rudin Productions, Netflix, Prophets, Google, Click3X, Rooftop Films in New York and Moviola in Hong Kong. Since moving to Australia, Joshua has worked with production companies such as Visual Domain, Vidico, Entropico, Garuwa and Collider.

Recently, Joshua has been building his portfolio in commercial and documentary projects with clients such as Art Basel, M+ Museum, South China Morning Post, Sony Music Entertainment, and more.

At heart, Joshua is an artist, with an extensive background in theatre, ballet, vocal performance, photography, ceramics and painting. He is currently writing his fourth feature-length script and his latest short film, Stillman’s Portrait is currently available on Youtube and Vimeo.
